Anti-Ice Valve Assembly Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified anti-ice valve assembly repair and overhaul.

About the Anti-Ice Valve Assembly

An anti-ice valve assembly controls the flow of hot bleed air to ice-protection surfaces such as wing leading edges, engine inlets, or nacelle cowls, supplying thermal energy to prevent ice accretion during flight in icing conditions. It is generally a pressure-regulating or shutoff butterfly valve with a pneumatic actuator and solenoid control, opening on command to admit regulated hot air. Operating with high-temperature bleed air and intermittent cycling, its dominant degradation modes are seat and seal erosion, actuator and diaphragm wear, sticking or binding of the butterfly, thermal fatigue, and internal leakage that compromises shutoff or regulation. Inspection commonly reveals slow response, leakage, and out-of-tolerance regulation. Overhaul restores seats, seals, actuator, and calibration to ensure reliable opening, accurate flow control, and positive closure.
