Cabin/ Duct Temperature Sensor Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified cabin/ duct temperature sensor repair and overhaul.

About the Cabin/ Duct Temperature Sensor

The cabin/duct temperature sensor measures the temperature of cabin or distribution-duct air and provides that signal to the environmental control system for temperature regulation. Typically a resistance-based element such as an RTD or thermistor housed in a probe, it is installed in cabin zones, supply ducts, or mixing manifolds where its resistance varies with temperature, allowing the controller to modulate pack output, trim air, and mixing valves to hold the selected zone temperature. As a precision sensing device exposed to airflow, vibration, and thermal cycling, it is subject to calibration drift, resistance element degradation or open and short circuits, connector and wiring corrosion, probe contamination affecting response, and physical damage. Resistance and accuracy testing across temperature, with continuity and insulation checks, verifies serviceability or condemnation.

Our Cabin/ Duct Temperature Sensor Repair Capability

QTC repairs and overhauls cabin/ duct temperature sensor components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals. Our engineers — including former OEM sensors & switches specialists — perform teardown, inspection, cleaning, component replacement, functional and leak testing, and certification, and develop repairs for rejected and beyond-economic-repair (BER) hardware.
