Low Limit Temperature Sensor Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified low limit temperature sensor repair and overhaul.

About the Low Limit Temperature Sensor

A low-limit temperature sensor is a sensing element in the environmental-control and air-management system that monitors duct or pack-discharge air temperature to protect against excessively cold conditions, signaling the temperature-control logic to prevent freezing, water-system icing, or overcooling. Typically a resistance temperature detector or thermistor in a probe housing with electrical termination, it provides a temperature signal used as a control or limit reference. Its primary function is accurate low-end temperature feedback for protective regulation. Service-related degradation includes element drift and calibration shift, open or shorted windings, moisture ingress and corrosion at terminals, lead and connector fatigue, and probe-sheath damage or contamination that slows response or biases readings. Repair and overhaul verify sensor resistance versus temperature, restore electrical and sealing integrity, and confirm response and accuracy against specification.

Our Low Limit Temperature Sensor Repair Capability

QTC repairs and overhauls low limit temperature sensor components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals. Our engineers — including former OEM sensors & switches specialists — perform teardown, inspection, cleaning, component replacement, functional and leak testing, and certification, and develop repairs for rejected and beyond-economic-repair (BER) hardware.
