Pneumatic Temperature Sensor Repair & Overhaul
FAA & EASA certified pneumatic temperature sensor repair and overhaul.
About the Pneumatic Temperature Sensor
A pneumatic temperature sensor measures the temperature of bleed air or conditioned air within ducting and supplies a signal to temperature-control and protection logic, operating within the sensors-and-switches domain as a temperature-sensing element. Typically a resistance-type element such as an RTD or thermistor housed in a probe with a duct-mounting boss, it provides a continuous, repeatable output proportional to air temperature for closed-loop regulation. In a hot, vibrating, high-cycle environment it is subject to element drift and calibration shift, open or short circuits from wire fatigue, insulation degradation, and connector corrosion. Probe-tip erosion, contamination, moisture ingress, and mounting-seal leakage are common failure modes that produce inaccurate or intermittent readings, driving element testing, resistance-versus-temperature verification, seal replacement, and recalibration.
Our Pneumatic Temperature Sensor Repair Capability
QTC repairs and overhauls pneumatic temperature sensor components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals. Our engineers — including former OEM sensors & switches specialists — perform teardown, inspection, cleaning, component replacement, functional and leak testing, and certification, and develop repairs for rejected and beyond-economic-repair (BER) hardware.
