Solenoid Valve Repair & Overhaul
FAA & EASA certified solenoid valve repair and overhaul.
About the Solenoid Valve
A solenoid valve uses an electromagnetic coil to drive a poppet or spool, providing fast on/off or directional control of air or fluid flow in pneumatic and air-management circuits, often as a pilot stage that ports control pressure to a larger actuator. Energizing the coil shifts the armature against a return spring to open or close the flow path. Common degradation modes include coil insulation breakdown and open or shorted windings, armature and seat wear that causes leakage, contamination that jams the plunger, return-spring fatigue, and seal hardening. These produce failure to actuate, slow or chattering response, internal leakage, or a stuck-open or stuck-closed condition. Repair involves coil and seal replacement, seat and armature refurbishment, contamination removal, and electrical, leakage, and response-time testing.
Our Solenoid Valve Repair Capability
QTC repairs and overhauls solenoid valve components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals. Our engineers — including former OEM pneumatic & air management specialists — perform teardown, inspection, cleaning, component replacement, functional and leak testing, and certification, and develop repairs for rejected and beyond-economic-repair (BER) hardware.
