16-369 — Case Assembly Repair & Overhaul

Component Overview

The case assembly is the structural housing that encloses and supports a rotating, valved, or heat-transfer assembly, establishing the flow path and reacting internal pressure and mechanical loads. Machined or fabricated from aluminum, titanium, or stainless alloys, it provides precise bearing bores, mounting interfaces, sealing surfaces, and ports that locate internal components and contain the working fluid. Because it sees pressure cycling, thermal gradients, vibration, and torque reaction, it is subject to fatigue and stress-corrosion cracking, corrosion and erosion of internal passages, wear and out-of-tolerance bore and flange surfaces, thread and insert damage, and distortion from heat. Inspection, dimensional verification, crack detection, machining or sleeving of worn surfaces, and corrosion treatment restore the case to serviceable condition.

Our Repair Capability
