Avionics AFT Fan Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified avionics aft fan repair and overhaul.

About the Avionics AFT Fan

An avionics aft fan is a motor-driven axial or centrifugal blower within the air cycle and equipment-cooling architecture that draws cooling air across heat-generating avionics in the rear electronics bays, sustaining the forced-convection flow that keeps line-replaceable units within temperature limits. It typically comprises a brushless or brushed motor, a balanced impeller, bearings, and integral flow or fault sensing. Because it runs continuously, the dominant degradation modes are bearing wear and increased vibration, impeller imbalance from dust loading or erosion, loss of lubricant, winding insulation breakdown, and bearing brinelling. Symptoms include reduced airflow, elevated current draw, audible noise, and overtemperature warnings on cooled equipment, all of which drive bearing replacement, rebalancing, and motor refurbishment at overhaul.
