Check Valve Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified check valve repair and overhaul.

About the Check Valve

A check valve is a passive flow-direction control device in the pneumatic and air management system that permits airflow in one direction while preventing reverse flow, protecting upstream components from backflow, cross-bleed, and pressure surges. Flow pressure lifts a spring-loaded poppet, flapper, or split disc off its seat to pass air, and reverse pressure or spring force reseats the element to block return flow. Because it cycles continuously in hot, pulsating bleed-air service, common degradation includes seat and poppet wear or erosion causing reverse leakage, spring fatigue or relaxation that alters cracking pressure, hinge and pivot wear, corrosion and contamination causing sticking, and fretting at sealing surfaces. These conditions drive leak and cracking-pressure testing, seat and spring replacement, and overhaul to restore one-way sealing.
