Condenser/Water Extractor Repair & Overhaul
FAA & EASA certified condenser/water extractor repair and overhaul.
About the Condenser/Water Extractor
A condenser/water extractor is a combined heat-exchange and moisture-removal unit in the air cycle cold section that cools warm, humid pack air against the colder turbine discharge so entrained vapor condenses, then mechanically extracts the resulting free water. By drying the air ahead of the cooling turbine in high-pressure water-separation pack architectures, it improves cooling efficiency and prevents downstream icing. The condenser core promotes condensation while an integral coalescer and swirl extractor collect and drain the water. Repair and overhaul are driven by core fin cracking and internal leakage, brazed-joint failure, coalescer fouling and degradation, swirl-vane and housing corrosion, drain-path blockage, and seal deterioration, all of which reduce condensation efficiency and allow moisture carryover into the distribution system.
Our Condenser/Water Extractor Repair Capability
QTC repairs and overhauls condenser/water extractor components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals.
