Dual Heat Echanger Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified dual heat echanger repair and overhaul.

About the Dual Heat Echanger

A dual heat exchanger combines two heat-transfer cores, commonly the primary and secondary stages of an air-conditioning pack, into a single integrated brazed assembly that cools engine bleed air using ram air in successive stages within the heat-transfer system. Consolidating both cores into one unit shares ram-air ducting and reduces installed weight while providing staged cooling around the air cycle machine. As a brazed plate-fin structure, it suffers internal and external fouling, corrosion, and fin erosion that degrade effectiveness and raise pressure drop. The principal failure mode is crack initiation and pinhole leakage at braze joints driven by repeated thermal cycling and vibration. Cross-leakage between cores, clogged passages, and impact damage to the ram-air face commonly drive leak testing, core repair, and thermal recertification.
