Hi-Stage Regulator Repair & Overhaul
FAA & EASA certified hi-stage regulator repair and overhaul.
About the Hi-Stage Regulator
A high-stage regulator controls the high-pressure bleed-air supply within the pneumatic and air management system, regulating flow drawn from the engine's high-pressure compressor stage when low-stage bleed pressure is insufficient, such as at low power settings. It admits and regulates high-stage air to maintain adequate manifold pressure for the air conditioning, anti-ice, and engine-start functions. The valve typically uses a pressure-sensing actuator and a butterfly or poppet element modulated by a servo or solenoid. Repair and overhaul are driven by seat and poppet erosion and leakage from hot high-pressure air, diaphragm and bellows fatigue, contamination and coking that cause sticking, actuator and spring wear shifting regulation setpoint, and seal degradation that produces pressure-control drift or failure to regulate.
