Non Return Valve Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified non return valve repair and overhaul.

About the Non Return Valve

The non-return valve, or check valve, permits airflow in one direction while preventing reverse flow within pneumatic and air management ducting. Using a flapper, poppet, or split-disc element biased by a spring or by the airstream, it opens under forward pressure and closes when flow reverses, protecting sources such as packs, manifolds, and bleed ports from backflow, contamination, and pressure interaction between systems. With no external actuation, its reliability depends on the sealing element and hinge or spring mechanism. Typical degradation includes seat and flapper seal wear causing reverse leakage, spring fatigue or breakage, hinge and pin wear, sticking from contamination, erosion, and corrosion. Leakage and cracking-pressure testing, with inspection of the sealing and hinge components, guides seal and spring replacement and overhaul.
