Oil Temperature Control Valve Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified oil temperature control valve repair and overhaul.

About the Oil Temperature Control Valve

An oil temperature control valve regulates the temperature of engine or system lubricating oil by modulating flow through or around an oil cooler, commonly using a thermostatic element or actuated bypass that diverts oil according to temperature. Positioned in the oil circuit, it directs cold oil through the cooler and routes warm oil around it during warm-up, maintaining oil within its optimal viscosity and thermal range to protect bearings and gears. Within the air and fluid management architecture it functions as a temperature-modulating bypass. Overhaul is driven by thermostatic element fatigue and drift, poppet or spool wear, spring relaxation, seat erosion and internal leakage, bypass sticking from contamination, and seal degradation that cause inaccurate temperature control or restricted oil flow.

Our Oil Temperature Control Valve Repair Capability

QTC repairs and overhauls oil temperature control valve components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals. Our engineers — including former OEM pneumatic & air management specialists — perform teardown, inspection, cleaning, component replacement, functional and leak testing, and certification, and develop repairs for rejected and beyond-economic-repair (BER) hardware.
