PECS/FCAC Heat Exchanger Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified pecs/fcac heat exchanger repair and overhaul.

About the PECS/FCAC Heat Exchanger

The PECS/FCAC heat exchanger serves the Power Electronics Cooling System and Fan Cooled Air Cooler function found on advanced aircraft such as the Boeing 787, rejecting heat from power electronics and associated cooling loops to an airflow stream. Positioned within the electrical and thermal management architecture, the compact brazed core transfers heat from the cooling medium to fan-driven air, keeping inverters, motor controllers, and related electronics within temperature limits as electrical loads vary. Typical degradation includes fin fouling and blockage that restricts airflow, internal and external corrosion, braze-joint and tube leakage, erosion, and accumulated debris that reduces effectiveness. Loss of cooling capacity can trigger thermal protection, so cleaning, leak and pressure testing, and core repair restore rated heat-rejection performance.

Our PECS/FCAC Heat Exchanger Repair Capability

QTC repairs and overhauls pecs/fcac heat exchanger components to the original manufacturer's specifications under our FAA and EASA Part 145 approvals.
