Recirculation Fan Repair & Overhaul

FAA & EASA certified recirculation fan repair and overhaul.

About the Recirculation Fan

A recirculation fan draws conditioned cabin air back through the air distribution loop, blending it with fresh pack air to reduce bleed-air demand and improve energy efficiency within the air cycle system. Mounted in the recirculation duct, it is generally a motor-driven centrifugal or axial impeller assembly that moves filtered cabin air at a controlled rate. Because it operates continuously across long flight cycles, the dominant degradation modes are motor bearing wear, brush or winding deterioration, impeller imbalance, and accumulated contamination on blades that erodes airflow and raises vibration. Inspection commonly finds noisy or worn bearings, insulation breakdown, and out-of-tolerance current draw. Overhaul restores bearing integrity, rotor balance, and electrical performance so the fan delivers rated airflow without excessive vibration or noise.
