Hydraulic Components Repair & Overhaul

Hydraulic components convert engine, electrical, or shaft power into the fluid pressure that drives an aircraft's primary and secondary systems, including flight controls, landing gear, brakes, and utility functions. This family covers a broad mix of hardware: variable delivery and variable displacement hydraulic pumps, motor-driven and electric motor driven packaged pump assemblies, hydraulic motors, complete hydraulic packages, and hydraulic filter housings. Each plays a defined role in generating, regulating, or conditioning the flow and pressure that the airframe's actuators depend on.

These components are typically built around precision-machined housings, close-tolerance pistons, rotating groups, valving, and bearings, with seals and filter elements that keep the fluid clean and contained. Operating continuously under high pressure, hydraulic units are exposed to wear from internal leakage, contamination, seal hardening, bearing fatigue, and degraded performance over time.

Because hydraulic power is safety-critical, components are repaired or overhauled to restore rated output, internal sealing, and contamination control rather than being run to failure. QTC services hydraulic pumps, packages, motors, and filter housings for operators of platforms from makes including Dornier, Beech, Lockheed, Sikorsky, Bell, and Hawker Beechcraft, including assemblies such as the UH-60 utility pump module.

QTC records incoming condition and functional behavior, then disassembles the hydraulic component to its piece-part level. Parts are cleaned and inspected dimensionally, with non-destructive testing applied to housings, rotating groups, and load-bearing hardware to find cracks, wear, and fatigue. Seals, O-rings, bearings, and filter elements are replaced, and worn surfaces are evaluated against serviceable limits, with valving and control mechanisms checked for correct operation.

The unit is reassembled and then functional- and leak-tested to verify pressure, flow, and internal and external sealing across its operating range before return to service with the appropriate airworthiness certification. Packaged pump assemblies, hydraulic motors, and filter housings each follow the inspect, replace, reassemble, and test sequence appropriate to that component's design and function.
