What Is Aircraft Component Overhaul?
Component overhaul is a comprehensive restoration in which the unit is completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt so that every element meets the original manufacturer's limits. Worn and life-limited parts are replaced, and the reassembled unit is functionally tested and certified, returning it to a like-new, fully serviceable condition.
Overhaul is the right choice when a unit has accumulated significant time or cycles, when multiple elements are at or near their limits, or when an operator wants the longest possible interval before the next shop visit. QTC overhauls components to OEM specifications under our FAA & EASA Part 145 approvals.

Our Aircraft Component Overhaul Process
Each overhaul begins with incoming inspection and complete teardown. Every part is cleaned and inspected dimensionally and with non-destructive evaluation against OEM limits. Worn, damaged, and life-limited elements are repaired or replaced, rotating assemblies are balanced where applicable, and the unit is reassembled to specification.
The completed unit undergoes full functional, leak, and pressure testing across its operating range before certification and release to service. The result is a unit restored to original performance and integrity.

What does a component overhaul include?

Do you overhaul air cycle machines and heat exchangers?
Yes. Air cycle machines, heat exchangers, pneumatic valves, and the rest of the ECS component set are within our overhaul capability under our FAA & EASA Part 145 approvals.

Yes. Our engineers include former OEM ECS specialists, and we overhaul components to the original manufacturer's specifications.
