Aircraft Component Repair

Aircraft component repair restores a removed or unserviceable unit to a serviceable, airworthy condition by correcting the specific discrepancies found at inspection, rather than performing a full zero-time overhaul. It is typically the fastest, most cost-effective path back to service when a component has a localized fault — a leaking heat exchanger core, a sticking valve, a drifting sensor — and the rest of the unit remains within limits.

QTC's engineers — including former Hamilton Sundstrand and Honeywell OEM specialists — diagnose the root cause, perform the required repair to the manufacturer's specifications, and return the unit with the appropriate airworthiness release under our FAA & EASA Part 145 approvals.

Every repair begins with incoming inspection and documentation of the unit's configuration and as-received condition. Our engineers identify the discrepancy through functional testing and non-destructive evaluation, then perform the targeted repair — core or element repair, seal and bearing replacement, recalibration — to OEM specifications.

The repaired unit is functionally and leak/pressure tested as applicable, then certified and released to service with the appropriate documentation. We also evaluate units that other shops have rejected, developing repairs for hardware that would otherwise be scrapped.
